Further strengthening of Lübeck's research as one of the world's leading locations for biomedical optics

A new endowed professorship has been established at the University of Lübeck. In November, Prof. Dr. Yoko Miura was appointed to the Endowed Professorship of Ophthalmic Biophotonics at the Department of Ophthalmology. The professorship is funded by the Heinz Besser Foundation in Lübeck, which is engaged in promoting science and research in the field of ophthalmology and supporting blind and visually impaired people in need.
