Article of AG Hüttmann highlighted by editors of Optics Letters

The Editors of Optics Letters, which is published by the Optical Society of America (OSA), have highlighted the recent publication of Hinnerk Schulz-Hildebrandt  "High-speed fiber scanning endoscope for volumetric multi-megahertz optical coherence tomography“ ( for its excellent scientific quality and relevance (Editors’ Pick). The article describes a new flexible endoscope which achieves volumetric imaging at 6 Hz  with 10 µm resolution. This is an important step towards endoscopic use of optical coherence tomography (OCT ) during endoscopic procedures. Aim of this development, which was partly by the German Center for Lung Research (DZL), is besides others the imaging of the lower airways.
