Advancement of FDML lasers through innovative technologies

Besides the fundamental understanding of the laser physics of the FDML laser, the continuous technological development of the laser is one of the main research areas. Our goals include (among other):

  • Development of new technologies to improve the performance of the laser
  • Development of novel FDML light sources at different wavelengths (800nm, 1060nm, 1310nm, 1550nm)
  • Increase of the tuning rate to achieve even faster operation
  • Implementation of innovative methods to improve the dipsersion compensation in the laser cavity.

The development of novel FDML lasers is always focused on practical applications.
