Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture supports Lübeck research project Ki-BioSense

Research for more food safety and less food waste

The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture will fund the research project KI-BioSense, which aims to bring research from the BMO closer to application. In the project, Bio-Sensors are being developed that can measure the freshness of meat and fish. This builds on the research work of PD Dr. Ramtin Rahmanzadeh at the Institute for Biomedical Optics. The freshness sensor was developed in cooperation with Dr. Christian Schell from Porphyrin Laboratories GmbH.

The project has a project volume of around € 2.3 million, with approx. € 1,000,000 going to the University of Lübeck.
